You'll have to answer to the Coca Cola company...

It appears that the White House's nanny state nattering about a sin tax on sodie pop has displeased the Pope of North Avenue.

As a comparison of relative power between the President and the CEO of Coke, you'll note that President Barry hasn't yet given his rabbis in Chicago their Olympic games, but Bob Goizueta sure as heck got Atlanta theirs.

A Dr. Strangelove reference first thing in the morning.

That was Colonel "Bat" Guano to Major Mandrake, wasn't it.

Group Captain Lionel Mandrake, leader of a mutiny of preverts.

Teh Won is messin' with our precious bodily fluids. That's the way your hard core Commie works.

Chicago will have the Olympics. The Olympics are Obama's Supervisor's, King Richie Daley, retirement plan as he will make tens of millions on the kickbacks and bribes.

Chicago will have the Olympics regardless of how many people lose their precious bodily fluids.

And he got the idea from?

That's right, my illustrious governor, "Cadillac" Deval Patrick...

Who knew an M1 Carbine could blow the lock off of a Coke machine?

Is there ANYTHING the M1 can't do?

New Jovian Thunderbolt said...

Yes, Ross, but if you wrap a Coke machine in a Chinese winter coat those M1 Carbine rounds will just bounce right off. Or that's what Uncle Frank told us about his time in Korea in the 50s

Speaking of soylent, if recycling is a "green" thing to do, then recycling human bodies into food is the ultimate. So instead of shouting from our stretchers,

"Soylent Green is PEOPLE!",

we should be yelling,

"Soylent people are GREEN!"

The quote, "Our kids drink too much soda" describes the mindset perfectly: They not his kids. They're each (set of) parents' kids. What a dick.

Seems to me Pepsi oughta be just as pissed, since they changed their logo to Barry's brand.

"relative power"?
I thought William Porter Payne brought the Olympics to Atlanta.
And the 2016 vote doesn't occur till October. How exactly does President Obama give Chicago the games before then?

DANG it! Here I wondered if I'd had an original thought, and somebody's beaten me to it.

Hans said...

Oh, you came up with it first (It originally just said soylent green mfg. co.) I thought your bit was funnier, feel free to steal the graphic if you like it.

Folks, here is a perfect example that a lot of the stuff we heard on "Hate Radio" back in the 1990s is not becoming reality.
I heard of sin tax on foods and drinks way back in the mid 1990s.
But wait, it is going to get even better when we DO have socialized medical care. The chiefs will establish a profile of you and if you are considered "over weight", your very body will be taxed until you comply with the prescribed treatment/diet/regimen.
Put this on your long-term calendar in heavy red ink.

Shouldnit the Soylent People graphic say "reproduce - reuse - recycle"?
