Their guns must be broken.
Via email, I learned that all the evil death-dealing guns in North Dakota must be broken. The state, which normally has about ten murders a year, had a fairly peaceful '08, with only two people on the wrong end of a homicide for the entire period. Both were committed with knives...

Not only that, nobody got their eye shot out with a BB gun!
Keep your guns in good repair then and save a life.
Broken guns cause knifings.
And if those knives break, we'll have to take a hint from Archie Bunker and defenestrate them.
