Okay, this is not good...
When the Taliban government in Afghanistan wouldn't fork over the tangos back in '01 and we went in to get them, it was as part of a multinational operation. We invoked Article Five of the North Atlantic Treaty and that's why there were Danish and German troops dragged off to the wilds of central Asia because of something that happened in Manhattan.

So we lob a hundred Tomahawks from subs in the Med, let Turkey do the rest, then act surprised when some Jihad-sharia type group comes to power in Syria in 10 months or so and... WHOOPS, so that is where all the Saddam WMDs were.
I would kindly remind Turkey of their refusal to provide support in AFPAK and Iraq.
I also doubt the Turks want to take mustard gas rounds from Syria and will stay with in their border.

Yeah, but the Turkish Parliament only authorized "Defensive" attacks near the border for one Year.
Of course, if the Assaholas running Iranistan decide to say "Screw it!" and send in a couple of divisions of their Immortals to come to the aid of their Alawate Cousins, using the Northern Route through their new Puppet State Iraqistan (Great Job on Nation Building there, State Dept.!), then all bets are off.
