Why does this not surprise me?

Missing moon rock found boxed up in old stuff from Bill Clinton's gubernatorial days.

It was probably buried under the "W" computer keycaps in the memorabilia from his presidential days...

A thief, a philanderer, a rapist, a perjuror.

Such is one of our "Elder Statemen".

How sad to be him. How lucky we were that G. Washington set the two term president precedent (say that three times fast). How fortunate we are that Geo. Washinton's precedent was codified, once manners declined to the point that a President and his followers would not follow the precedent.

I dont want to know where that rock has been. Disinfect that thing.

+1 to Og. I'm sure Billy attempted to breed with it.

Y'know, every minute he spent getting his moon rock off was a minute he didn't spend governing.

I say we take up a moon rock collection for Obama, then.

Moonrock Hussein Obama?

Perhaps we can arrange a long vacation to gather more moonrocks?

But that would leave "Plugs" Biden in charge!

Nevermind.

"Moonrock Hussein Obama"

Sounds like one of Frank Zappa's children.

Biden could go too. There's room for three.

Pelosi, maybe? Schumer?

Let's not fuel the lander or the command module. It'd reduce the rocket's carbon footprint.

You'll need to at least partially fuel the lander's decent stage in order for them to deorbit. Just don't tell 'em the part of the budget that got cut was for the ascent engine and its fuel! Of course that leaves more room for rocks... Yeah, that it! More room for rocks! Have a nice trip!

WV: "accopt" That's the sound the lander would make on impact if there were an atmosphere for it to make a sound in...

Nah, it was buried under the Rose Law Firm records that Hillary couldn't find... :-)

I daresay that sample is considered to be priceless. And they just had it lying around?

Henry Blowfly said...

I was thinking the same as Darrell. What would an artifact like this be worth on the open market?

I. Did. Not. Have. Sex. With. That. Moonrock! But I did feel it's pain!

I'm fairly certain Bubba had nothing to do with this. If he did the Moon rock would be in some private collector's vault and the cash would be in one of Bubba's off shore accounts. Neither he nor Hillery would allow such a valuable asset to just sit in a box.
This strikes me as just another bit of government incompetence on the state level.

Sandy Berger probably took it, figuring that Bill would need a paperweight for the classified documents that he sent Sandy to steal.

There was an unconfirmed report at the time that a female security guard on duty at the time stopped Sandy on his way out the door, asking him, "Is that a moon rock in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" He replied that he was happy to see her, and went on his merry way.

Stretch: The only reason he didn't take it with him was because he lost the damned thing.

Don M: I'll take Mr. Stupid over the man from Mordor any day of the week.

Joel: That reminds me of "The Marching Morons", one of my favorite stories. We have some real estate operators just like the one in the story around here, too. One of them I made the mistake of hiring as my lawyer.

Oh, and Henry? It Is Not An Artefact. Nobody made it. (except God, if you think that way)

I surprised they didn't find it in the humidor.
