Automotif CDLXXII...

Here's a post-facelift W126 Mercedes-Benz S-class, specifically an '86-'91 300SEL. Back in those days, the alphanumeric code on the decklid would have signified a 3.0L engined Sedan, with "Einspritzung" (fuel injection) and a "Lang" (long) wheelbase.

The long-wheelbase S-class sedans were hefty rides, stretching almost every bit of seventeen feet from nose to tail and only a couple hundred pound short of two tons. The single overhead cam 3.0L port fuel injected inline six was reasonably potent for the era, rated at 177 SAE net bhp in North American trim, but definitely had its work cut out for it hauling this bougiemobile down the road.
