Shattered dream...

It was a big and epic dream, or at least I have a sense that it was, because I awoke and had that shocked feeling that only eight hours had elapsed, but all that's left are little fragments and tiny vignettes...
  • I was wearing a light sundress and it was miserably cold and spitting sleety rain. I had to get the blanket out of the trunk of the car because the heater wasn't working...

  • The road had this weird pebbled texture, like tar had been poured over large pea gravel, and it was icy. The only way the Zed Drei was getting any traction to get up hills as it fishtailed along was that the tops of the little pebbles were ice-free...

  • I'm trying to shoot this bad guy, and do you have any idea how hard it is to get a good lead on a lateral mover in the dark while you're straining so hard to pull the trigger with the index fingers of both hands that the goofy serrations on the Glock trigger are hurting your fingertips and the light on your gun keeps getting dimmer?

  • The town was almost completely abandoned, but all the video games in the arcade still had power...

  • Our garbage man pulled the bags out of the can and they split open, and he just drove off, leaving the trash all over the street...

Ahhh, the old "gun won't work dream," I think every gun toter has them once in a while. I think I've had every variation one can imagine.

See.....

I had an extremely similar dream/nightmare.

Then I woke up, and realized it was still happening...

Then I moved out of Detroit

I hate, hate, HATE the million-pound trigger dream. I only ever get them about my revolver, too - somehow the 1911 trigger always works fine.

I've had them so bad I will wake up, clear my night stand gun, and go do dry fire practice just to prove to myself that the thing *does* work.

Obviously a dream relating to the coming election. Sadly, the winner might not matter, 'cause our future looks to be like that either way. Military that's hurtin', us freezing and unable to drive to Cabela's (where nobody'll be able to afford to shop for warm clothes) but TPTB will have lots of stuff to keep us entertained.
I hope I'm joking, here.

Wow! That's some scary stuff!

I hate it when the trash bags break.

So, what's this about a sundress?

Clearly you need to drop in a smooth faced Glock trigger from a 17 or other full size. < 20 bucks.

Thank God, I thought the trigger safety hurting my finger was just me.

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around Tam wearing a sundress. . .

Well she is female.

If I owned a sundress blood vessels would burst in your brain.
Think someone who looks similar to Farmer Frank but a bigger beer gut and no writing talent. Now try to get that picture out of your head.

Got rid of my grooved G triggers years ago. :)

KM: I have a slinky gold lame dress. Right now, I am receiving an annuity from someone not to wear it.

Meh. My dream was more commercial. Good luck getting a studio treatment.

Oh, I can picture Tam in a sundress. I think it would be quite lovely. I just can't PICTURE her in one.

Sundress alert!

Epic!!

I'll have to bump the sundress pic, just can't quite figger out how Tam'd look without one.

The Garbage Guy driving off leaving garbage strewn all over the street?

You been visitin' my house Wednesday mornings? That's an every week occurance. Immediately followed by me cleaning up the mess and delivering it to the front walk and steps of city hall. Hizzonor Da Mare doesn't think it's half as funny as I do. We have "The Talk" every couple of weeks.
