Automotif XLVIII...

Walmart is the great American cultural leveler, as this slammin' Jaguar XJR parked two spaces over from us attests...

Every body likes cheap stuff. Although we are beginning to use Target more as the fauna in Wal Mart is passingly feral anymore.

LOL, nice Tango.

Every time I see the commercials for the new Jag's my mouth waters...car lust it is...a sad case of car lust.

I figure that's how they afford the Jag.

Doubtless they like the quick service. When you drive a Jag, 'tis best to be home before dark.

Yep, after paying to maintain it, the ONLY place they can shop is Wallyworld...

They were $80k when new, now they sell for less than $20k. Luxury sedans depreciate like nothing else. I wonder what the insurance rates are for an aluminium bodied car? That was one of the knocks against the NSX.

Years ago, before Walmart was entrenched here in the Puget Sound region, the best place to go see the latest exotic and expensive cars in the wild was the Costco parking lot in Kirkland*.

I saw a Bentley Mulsanne there in the early 1990's, when they were only about $200,000.

*Kirkland is real close to where all the Microsofties got their start, and at that time they had money to burn, literally.
