All worth the read, and all true...
Brent is a good writer. That is the kind of stuff everyone needs to hear.
Everyone makes mistakes. Own up, beat your self up a bit, and then move one.
this is the mind set that will get us through the coming mess.
On another note I just saw the HP Capt that has been given Fuergeson. I think that might cool down some soon.
Plus, if you publicly own your mistakes it makes it that much more difficult for an office snake to try and blame you for something they did. After hearing you say "That's my mistake" a few times a denial has much more credibility.
I'm pretty sure I still have my job after a (now departed) co-worker tried to claim their screw-ups were my fault.
One of the first things I was taught in ROTC was that when you made a mistake:
Stand up.
Own up.
Take the hit.
Move on.
