Purty old tractor!
I need me one of those :-)
Yes. That is a purty one. I work down the street from the factory those were built at. Not that they build tractors there anymore. Times change, not always to the good.
My recent vintage Kubota doesn't look nearly as stylish as any of the old iron beauties you've been profiling....and my Fury-Road-esque welding job on the bucket doesn't change that none.
Never got to drive an old Massey tractor...Did spend a few years pulling an old Massey Ferguson combine with a Sund pickup on the front around the fields til we bought a 'new better' pull type - a Case 914. It even had electrics, like a shut off for the pickup without killing the PTO, and solenoid activated auger. It was pretty swank for our operation (and only about 20-25 years out of date of state of the art at the time) and hardly ever plugged, unlike the poor old Massey.Good times. Thanks for the little jaunt down memory lane Tam.
