Still going...

A hundred rounds of CCI Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ yesterday. No malfunctions. Shot well. Total now at nine hundred and fifty rounds. Debating whether I should clean and lube the gun at the 1k mark or let it run to a full 2,000 rounds dirty.

ETA: ...and fifty more just now makes it a nice round thousand.

Hit it with a squirt of lube and let it run. It might surprise you.

Everyone likes it dirty sometimes.

At this point it doesnt matter . The pistol has nothing to prove reliability wise . If you have a morbid curiosity as to just what it takes to stop it let it run without cleaning but imo any number it fails on now will be meaningless .

Inasmuch as that's about 850 more rounds than the typical PPX owner will run through his heater in its lifetime, that's a ringing durability and reliability endorsement for a budget heater chock-full of MIM. Looks like Walther got that one very right.

If this isn't your carry gun then I see no reason to clean it yet. If you like shooting it, keep shooting it and see what happens.
