Let's Sing The Fun Show Song!

Flintlocks and Flop-tops
And Number Three Russians
Black-powder Mausers
From jackbooted Prussians,
Shiny Smith PC's from limited runs
These are a few of my favorite guns.

Socketed bay'nets
On Zulu War rifles,
Engraved, iv'ried Lugers
That make quite an eyefull
Mosin tomato stakes sold by the ton
These are a few of my favorite guns.

Rusty top-breaks!
Smallbore Schuetzens!
And all of Browning's spawn
I just keep on browsing my favorite guns
Until all my money's gone.
Even though I've shot my bolt (and then some) for the month, we'll be going to the Fun Show just to show willing. I can justify spending a little bit on ammo or something.

Oh, speaking of which, the spare magazines for my little Beretta showed up! I ordered a pair from the Beretta online store and the experience was painless and the shipping was prompt. Beretta has their feces pretty much aggregated into a tiny little ball in the online sales department.

("Tam," you ask, "why are you so excited about Beretta's online store working? My local pizza joint has a smooth online ordering setup." Look, I'm not coming right out and saying that the firearms industry has a checkered past when it comes to wholehearted acceptance of the internets, but if I'm remembering rightly, the only way Glock would have been affected by Y2K is that people wouldn't have been able to see the little animated .gif of a guy with a shovel under an "Under Construction" banner at glock.com...)

Our semi-Annual Fun show is in three weeks. Getting amped up not really looking for anything have to see what shows up.

That is my favorite song too, I was thinking about your lyrics to this song yesterday when I noticed I had left a Mosin bayonet on top of my bookshelf when I was moving some stuff around. Maybe I will buy some tomato plants at the farmer's market this afternoon.

I'd daresay from your glee that the Beretta online experience is functionally way better than the bizzaro universe Sig one.

We have a FunShow in town today, too.
No Stamps to spend but on ammo, though.

Happy hunting at the 1500 - been almost 25 years since I've been to one of them. Glad to hear you had a good experience. I've had also good luck with the crusty Beretta gunsmiths in their parts department. They're helpful and their delivery is really fast - however their shipping charge was a little warm the few times I've used them.

Have a fun day, and here's hoping that something really nifty and underpriced catches your eye.

Sigh, I'm missing the 'big' fun show in Tulsa again this year... My pocketbook may like it, but 'I' don't... Hope you had fun!
