Although broadly similar in weight, length, and height, the Smith & Wesson M&P 5.7 is much more gracile than the FN Five-seveN Mk.3 MRD (top, wearing a Swampfox Justice optic.)

Nowhere in the manual can I find Smith telling me what the optics footprint is, but looking around the product photography on the 'net, it looks like the Holosun 507k footprint is a direct mount. I'll make a point of checking that out.
