"Uncovered meat".

Raving lunatic Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly tried to justify rape with the following goofy analogy:
But when it comes to this disaster, who started it? In his literature, writer al-Rafee says, if I came across a rape crime, I would discipline the man and order that the woman be jailed for life. Why would you do this, Rafee? He said because if she had not left the meat uncovered, the cat wouldn’t have snatched it.
Well.

Well, well, well.

Funny you should use that analogy there, Sheik. You see, just the other evening, I left my pastrami and swiss on rye uncovered for a moment when I went to the fridge for a beer, and the cat tried to snatch it.

The cat got a combat boot in the ribs for its attempt.

Look, Sheik, I don't care if "The Meat" is walking down the street stark nekkid' in broad daylight: "No" means "Keep your mitts to yourself or I'll shoot you between the running lights."

Are we clear?

I agree but wonder why we keep this fool in Australia. Why don't we invite him to go somewhere where his idiot views will be welcomed by idiots?

Yesterday I was at a beach in Cyprus looking at some very lovely Greek (and other) goddesses with no bras and strings. I really enjoyed what I saw (a thing of beauty is a joy forever)and would have loved to have scrambled among some of it. But did I go out and rape some poor kid? Of course not. It's men who do the raping, not the women. And every time some woman gets raped it lessens the value of all of us.

Real men don't rape!

You know, in light of comments like this and the ongoing female circumcision trial in Atlanta, I'm going to have to admit that under further review I have to recant my previous comment supporting the rights of other cultures to abuse/maim/disfigure their women just because it's part of their culture. Mea Culpa.

I have a problem with a cleric who regards women as "meat", as uses that attitude to excuse the actions of vermin.

abhorrent. Because it's common knowledge that any female can easily overpower a rapist and keep modestly covered. *much eye-rolling here*

Well, I do have a soft spot for the sheik and his likes.

It's at the forward end of an object travelling at Mach twopointtwofive.

"It's men who do the raping, not the women."

Well haven't you been trained well. How many female teachers have raped male students over the years? But I guess that's okay...

Rape is rape, sex shouldn't matter. Your statement has lessened all our value. I demand you raise it again to pre-Euro levels. My value just doesn't go as far as it used to.

The one plus of this piss-for-brains Sheik and his vocal ilk is that it allows many of their sympathizers in the west to see just how vial they are. Beyond that I'm sure he'd make an adequate backstop.

Damn...I see fortifying myself against the cold with a nip of bourbon has caused me to forget how to spell vile, or at least use the right one.

The odd part of the Islam is it forbids women from defending themselves.

The Ottoman Caliphs developed a "more moderate" Islam because the original Islam did not provide them sufficient room to indulge their lusts.

If one believes that an "uncovered piece of meat" is just waiting for a "cat to snatch it", well, I'd say I'd find it pretty much impossible to convict a piece of meat for shooting a cat regardless of the circumstances.

"yes your honor, this jury believes that a self-defence shooting can indeed take place over a distance of 500 yards."

Sheik Taj al-Dim-n'-Smally's attempt at comparing rapist "men" to cats is a *huge* insult to cats.

The mentality that leads to a comment such as that sickens me. How any human being can have so little regard for another, regardless of sex, religion, nationality, or any other empty disparity, is beyond me. My wife, meat covered or uncovered, is liable to deliver Excedrin headache number 357 to anybody that gets too grabby, and I'm proud of her strength and independence. It threatens my manhood not one whit; in fact, it enhances my life.

It is an all too common delusion that if some people in group 'a' can't handle living in a free society, it's the responsibility of everyone else to not present them with challenges -- not group 'a's responsibility to grow up or get bent.

There is really no difference between the moron Imam's opinion that women should keep themselves covered up to prevent rape and the idea that confederate flag logos, anti- or pro- homosexual t-shirts, etc, be banned from schools because 'some students' might be upset by them. It is the responsibility of the easily offended to get over themselves, or be placed in a jail cell if they cannot. No one has a moral, ethical, or legal obligation to refrain from exercising their rights because some people can't deal.

(On a lighter note, I have recently been adopted by a small white random kitten, who has taken 'importuning' to new levels. She has oft been seen trotting through the house with a piece of food removed from a sandwich in her mouth. Unlike the rest of my furry horde, she doesn't wait for the Cat Tax to be paid...she only likes food she steals. That which is freely offered is disdained.)

Sheik CatMeat has had a heart attack and is receiving the best of care from his nurses.

I'm sure the bacon enemas are appreciated.

Islam shouldn't be any more accepted in the modern age than cannibalism, Aztec mass-heart-sacrifice on the old pyramid or the KKK is. In fact, the KKK is a LOT better on women's rights.

Humph. Is the bigger insult to compare women to a piece of meat, or to suggest that men have no more morals than a cat?

Although there may be groups in the West attempting to subvert this, it has long been the experience of western societies that if you raise boys right, they grow up to be upright, moral men, rather than potential rapists just looking for an opening. We got the basics of that morality from a middle-eastern tribe closely related to the Sheik's people - but their Arabic cousins seem to be either the descendants of those that never did learn to behave, or to have lost that capability somewhere in their history.
