Politics: That's a strange new usage of the word...

So, the Democrats' Iraq resolution goes
"Congress and the American people will continue to support and protect the members of the United States Armed Forces who are serving, or who have served, bravely and honorably in Iraq."
...just not with money or reinforcements or anything like that. Only vague waves of warm & fuzzy support.

Humvees don't run on support, neither can you patrol Fallujah with it.

Diogenese would have better luck finding his "honest man" than he would finding anyone with a grip on reality inside the Beltway.

All this hoo-ha over a non-binding resolution.

Thanks to a trumped-up war, we're in the middle of a sectarian grudge match, and they are wasting time on non-binding resolutions.

I guess you're right; there is a bright side to it.

If they weren't so a'twitter about Iraq, they might have already gotten busy plundering my bank account.

ha! true.

but on that thought...

The Dems: Tax and Spend

The GOP: Borrow and Spend

either way, we get shafted.
