2,000 Hoosiers...

...filled the street in front of the state capitol building Thursday.

Joanna was there with her camera, in full fangirl squee over speaker Bill Whittle, who was apparently allowed out of California on furlough to attend the event.

Bobbi got a picture from the top of the tallest building in town; her vantage point is from the other side of the capitol building, and you can see that they filled the street in front of it from end to end. Not a half bad crowd.

Too bad there wasn't some kook show up in KKK robes; then it would have made the national news.

Probably not. Anybody who watches national news knows that a Hoosier is worth only three quarters of an Angeleno, or half a New Yorker.

Funny story: My great-grandfather was in the Klan for about two seconds wayyyyy back in the day. The guy who got him in led him to believe it was more along the lines of the Elks; he went to one meeting, left immediately and never looked back.

I'm kind of proud of that, actually. Great Gramps was a pretty cool dude.
