Seen out in front of Fresh Market today...
To this day, a plain ol' dead-nuts stock NSX has been the single most satisfying street car I've ever driven when it came to simply translating what I wanted to do in my head to what the car was doing on the road with absolutely no fuss or drama.

"Oh, you're sending The Wolf?"
A co worker has one, first generation. He loves it and is very proud of it. He will let almost anyone drive it who askes, and one day, a casual acquaintence asked, and he handed him the keys, and he didn't see the car again for two weeks. This is Iowa, so I guess people are more trusting, but damn.
You've driven an NSX?
(excuse me while I slap around the Envy Bird)
Friend of mine in Long Beach (Republik of Kali..) has one. Delightful drive. It is reminiscent of a Japanese native speaking German.

I wanted to drive my brother-in-law's NSX... But it's apparently made for people less giant than myself :-(
Never had the chance... But I've heard it IS fun... sigh
They hold their value remarkably well. Ebay has a few, the least expensive one (that wasn't wrecked) is bidding at over $25k. Most are over $30k. Well over.
The NSX was always a car that gave me envy pains.
I see the new one is coming in a year - but will be another all electric / automatic computer on wheels. It looks pretty but I won't feel a twinge.
A sr. engineer where I worked got a first generation NSX. Park Police stopped him 3 times and every time he just handed the officer the keys and said "Wanna try it." Never got a ticket. (This is, of course, hearsay not admissible in any court or USPP disciplinary hearing.)
He was more than happy to let people test drive it. Alas, at 6'6" I couldn't even fit in the passenger seat.

I feel your pain, brother.
Are there any sporty cars made for people over about 6'3" ( Mini Cooper, I know)
Like the SR-71 Blackbird, it was a superperformer in every respect, and then some.
Mr. Honda's final project involvement, it fulfilled his design brief to have a SuperCar that would be a docile, "daily driver" in terms of useability, reliability, convenience and only then, performance. Which it had, in spades.
Closest I came to driving one was a ride as a passenger.
Absolutely breathtaking. 3 liters of naturally aspirated awesomeness.
Corvettes? Meh.
I'd cash in the contents of my gunsafe, but for the S&W Highway Patrolman, a particular 1911 and my all around rifle, for a decent NSX.
Some people retire in the RV lifestyle.
I could see the idea of spending one's declining years, spinning the NSX odometer, until you're doing 31 mph in the right lane in Tampa, with the left turn signal on for the past six miles.
You know, leaving a legacy and all that.
