Was the initial entry prompted by the Gandalara Cycle...?
I totally had not read those. Any good?
Sometimes ya wonder how ya got here from there. ;^)
Tamara,
I honestly don't know how to answer that, because while I have extremely fond memories of them from my high school days, I haven't read them as an adult. I remember thinking they were awesome back then, though.
That's an interesting wikewander...LOL
I seem to recall a Poul Anderson short story (from the time travel sequence) regarding the Gibraltar Waterfall...the hero takes his time machine back several times so that the multiplied force of his tractor beams can pull his friend out of the deluge. All against regulations, but he broke them to save her life.
Too bad the Wiki article notes that it was not like a waterfall, but more of a long, gradual decline. Another story, shot to heck.
