QotD: Bantha Tracks Edition

Do you really think that the Huts would have put up withTuskan Raiders for more than a couple of weeks before they got into their sandbarge thingies and had themselves a Tuskan shoot?
Thank you, Goober. You have absolutely made my day.

Go read that post, because it's laugh-out-loud funny.

I always thought that the Krogan were a good example of what would really happen on a proud warrior race planet.

Shame that Goober's blog has the log-on system that prevents some people from commenting. Even though I have an account with one of the ones listed, it still doesn't work. I've given up attempting it, mostly, as more and more blogs seem to be defaulting to this worthless system.

Wonder how many other readers fall into this category?

[geek mode]Knowing the Hutts, they'd just provide protection for caravans at exorberant rates, then tip off the Tuskins regarding the caravans who might have missed a payment before setting off across the desert.[/geek mode]

I think I fixed it. Either I inadvertently clicked the wrong button or the site reset to some default in the last couple of months. It wasn't intentional.

I don't get enough traffic to really worry much about spam, so I've never had to restrict the site.

TBeck - still fared better than the Tauntauns they tried to introduce back in '68...

Why do all these tropes exist in science-fiction?

Because we are telling stories about ourselves, that's why.

We put scary monsters in our fairy tales because we know the real monsters look like the lady in the checkout line ahead of us or the guy sitting next to our kids in church. Real monsters are just TOO scary.

ALL our fantasies are about us. They allow us to look in the mirror and not be truly traumatized about what's there.

The problem with Star Wars is that people think it's Science Fiction.

It's not.

It's Space Opera.
