Alas and alack, during 1993 - 2001 Mr. Gore was merely the spare. Co-Presidents Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton were actully Commander-in-*coughBriefs*cough* Chief of the US military at that time.
Oh, I'm sure he got to sit in on the "Let's gut the fascist military" discussions too, although probably nobody passed the bong to ol' Stiff Al.
