To the nice lady in the red Maxima...

...who seemed to have such difficulty with the funny red octagonal signs:

I realize that I was just sent over from central casting to play "Other Driver" in the movie of Your Life, but I'm anxious to know something: Did I do well? I mean, did I convincingly display annoyance, frustration, a bit of condescending pique? Did I emote?

I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille...

Tam,

Can we please get together and write a screenplay about this. Something along a comedy/tragedy line. People who get it would cry with laughter, the others, well, they'd just cry.

It'd be pretty easy to do, what with all the dumbassery on the roads these days. It would kinda write itself, doncha think?

John Prine, "The Accident (Things Could Be Worse)" seems to cover a lot of this territory.

Yesss. I ran into some of this today while on my way home from getting the car inspected and running some other day off errands.

The really fun part for me occurs frequently when the other driver, who has just done something completely stupid that puts me in danger, takes that first glance at my car like I appeared like magic out of nowhere. Love it.
