Stunning allegations!

Among other shocking WikiLeaks allegations:
...U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates... is quoted telling his French counterpart that "Russian democracy has disappeared and the government was an oligarchy run by the security services."
This is my shocked face.

Seriously, that's like using a secure channel to tell someone that you think water might be wet.

The really amusing part is that Putin responded with some petulant "I know you are, but what am I?" nonsense. I mean, everybody knows Putin's a crook, but I'd always figured he'd be better than that at pulling a poker face.

This Assange guy is playing a dangerous game. Stealing lollipops from American babies is one thing, poking the Russian bear in the ass is whole 'nother thing entirely.

The bear will have the last laugh.

Tony Stark: [reading from Natascha's SHIELD Report on Iron Man/Tony Stark]
Tony Stark: Mr. Stark displays textbook... narcissism.
Tony Stark: [Stark stares at Nick Fury, who simply stares at him back] ... Agreed.

Putin is also perturbed by State Department comments as to his personal fortune...

So?

Putin's poker face consists of him smiling while you're hauled out back and beaten senseless because you bluffed a win out of three fives and a face card.

Seriously. Do Not Feed The Bear.

Yeah so far the most damaging thing is the local SOBS who cooperation with US Forces in Afghanistan and got named.

The rest is only mildly interesting bevause it leaked at all, not because of the contents which seem like mostly "undiplomatic" back channel gossip.

ANON @0951. Which, BTW, the MSM ignores, claiming that ASSange redacted names where appropriate. Maybe in this dump, but not in the original.

Note that, in addition to all the PO'd (alleged) friends and allies, this dump makes The Won and Bubba look bad, but pretty much leave W and Israel looking like they knew what they were doing. Granted, not difficult, compared to the Gang That Can't Shoot Straight we've been stuck with fore the last two years...

Anyone ever, ever hear anything of interest from a a State Dept. statement? It's always lies and bullshit. Everyone knows they're lies and BS so why anyone takes their statements seriously is beyond belief. Two examples are "peace in our times" and Middle East peace accord or any announcement by the Sec. of State.
The only thing in this world that counts is guns and dollars - well at least dollars when "sound as a dollar" was still something that was said. When's the last time you heard that?
W's great shame is he had the accent of a hillbilly and looked like a deer caught in the headlights when he issued a statement.
O's only claim to competence is he gives a great tele-prompter speech.
Can't wait for the next dickhead.
