Come on CCTV cameras are SO passé. Clearly the choice today is high-res image and video generating satellites.

So, which is creepier: The surveillance camera beside "George Orwell Loved here!" or the surveillance camera in Madrid's "Place George Orwell"...?

Not Madrid, Barcelona.

No Kidding.

My family and I were in the airport in Barcelona this morning. The cleaning staff were on strike. The airport was completely littered with shredded newspaper and the strikers were there making quite a ruckus because I suspect that they weren't getting their quotient of free ice cream. They had also gobbed various sundry substances around the airport and it appeared that none were arrested for vandalism. Perhaps this is coming to a neighborhood near you.

Semper paratus.
