Today In History: I know I use this one every year, but...

Poor Mark David Chapman; three feet to the right and he could have been a hero.

I shouldn't be laughing at this.

So evil...So true.

Then there would have been a moment of silence before a rousing chorus of "Ding dong the witch is dead."

Sometimes it's better to be right than to be nice! Spot-on, Tam.

OH, THAT is what I've been trying to remember all day. I kept thinking "was Elvis born today? What?"

And it's Jim Morrisons birthday! I was having a great night till reports of Lennons death came on the radio.

3 feet = Yoko not John

(And my yearly paraphrase of someone more eloquent than me,)

"Why am I an atheist? Five bullets into John and NONE into Yoko!"

Yes, Tam. It's soo wrong, but it's soo right!

shame on you tam!
as all Beatles fans know,
you DO NOT EVER speak the name of that person. Every time someone does, it gives him more aclaim.
Herein lies the problem with our news media in exhalting the name/persona of the person who did the killing at the mall/airport, etc. etc.

please do not say it again
just a friendly suggestion :=]

I didn't say "Yoko Ono", someone else did.

Yoko Ono? She ruined the Plastic Ono Band. [credit: Otto on The Simpsons - I think.]

It's from Boston folksinger Ellis Paul about the media response to Lennon's murder.
