Ah, the countryside! Good times, good friends, beautiful vistas, the desultory crackle of small arms fire, and a gentle 25 knot breeze causing you to have to run and retrieve your hat every five minutes.

That's why hats have adjustments...
Gorgeous pic, btw.
Ah, yes. "The Desultory Crackle of Small Arms Fire", my personal favorite album from the Suicide Revolutionary Jazz Band.
I think of it as the crackle of freedom! :-) And yeah, chasing the hat becomes a PITA...
"have to run and retrieve your hat every five minutes."
Duct tape. Not only will it keep your hat on, it helps keep your glasses in place.
Where I live I always know it is the first of September because of the non-desultory crackle of shotgun fire from nearby dove hunters, seeking the wily feathered beasts in fields near my suburban but near rural neighborhood.
And the doves that swarmed my feeder all summer are suddenly quite scarce.
Chasing after your hat every five minutes.
Tam me dear, there's this new invention out. They call it "String" or sometimes "Cord".
Give it a try. I did, it's amazing.
