Palin walks on water...

...Democrat pundits rip her for not wearing USCG-approved life vest. Also, they accuse her of pandering to fundamentalist Christians with messianic imagery.

Some wonder aloud "where were her children when she was gallivanting about on these aquatic jaunts? What kind of mother does that make her?"

They went on to state that her speech was "divisive", because of its criticism of the Democrat ticket, unlike the slobbery kissyhugs that the Dem candidates have been bestowing on McCain and Bush.

"Slobbery Kissyhugs."

Sorry, I just thought that bore repeating.

Palin tagged that speech out of the fucking park last night.

I'm gettin' my checkbook out again this weekend.

"Governor Palin ate food and used the restroom several hours later. Democrat leaders said this showed she wasn't qualified to be on the ticket."

I just love how CNN so openly carries water for the dems. Looking at their "top stories" bar, NONE are even remotely good about McCain / Palin.

As for the dems and their response... Sheesh. I realize that they hate Bush and think everybody else does, too, but trying to link Sarah Palin to him because "her speech sounded like something he'd say" seems a bit of a reach. And, anyway, when has BUSH made divisive speeches? I can recall Dingy Harry calling him a loser. I can recall SanFran Nan calling him a failure. I can't recall him saying anything like that about his opponents.

Sorry, but after watching the Daily Show video, I thought it was brilliant and spot-on. I note that it wasn't even directed at Palin herself, but rather the hypocritical asshats attempting to "defend" her. And I regard both Rove and Bill O'Reilly as utter asshats. It is the case that a lot of the tsunami of criticism directed at Palin has been low-down, dirty and distasteful (or worse) and the Daily Show clip didn't address that, but I would expect that given that show's fairly naked bias. I would point out that the clip ends on really a pretty favorable note for Palin herself.

yeah, I have to deal with a son-in-law who thinks the daily show, cobert, and the networks are all neutral.
