Yesterdays elections showed some interesting changes of opinions in the nation. It is obvious that everyone wants “change” again, possibly with a little less “hope” this time.I replied:
Question is, change to what?
Who cares?
I’m ready to start “channel surfing” at this point. Show me a program I want to watch or I’ll keep hitting “NEXT” every other November ’til you do, bitches.

Again, you have accurately captured my attitude toward the political class. Excellent job as usual.
I am with you right now. I don't really care about anyone's record, I am just voting against incumbents regardless of party. Right now I could not care less because if you are an incumbent, you are part of the problem and the problem is so big, that it matters not what party you are.
Basically, "throw the bums out" and "anyone is better then an incumbent".
Why not? I'd vote for Tarquin Fin-tim-lin-bin-whin-bim-lim-bus-stop-F'tang-F'tang-Olé-Biscuitbarrel just to see what he'd do.
Dread Pirate Roberts: Good night, Westley. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning.
I say thrown 'em out as long as it's out a seven-story window onto a pile of broken glass and scrap sheet metal.
"...hitting "NEXT" every other November 'till you do, bitches.""
Sounds like someone I know.
For what it's worth, I appreciate the...surliness in your attitude, there.
At any rate, the point of my original post was, in turning a bipolar manic depressive into a schizophrenic, have we improved anything?
I suppose we couldn't make it much worse.
The older I get, the more I come to see the "Aliens solution" as the universal solution. You know. "Nuke 'em from orbit; it's the only way to be sure."
Keep your powder dry.
It appears to me that elections have become passe. When is it going to be time to try something else?
And how will we know when that time has come?
Are we simply not seeing the forest for the trees?

Grandpa said back in the early 80's
" Close down Washington and every state capital and fumigate the lot of em, start over on Monday."
This is the same guy who stated "Every elected official who can't balance a check book or a budget should be relived and replaced."
I like your tone Tam it sounds just like the tone I hear everywhere.
The Swimmer
" Close down Washington and every state capital and fumigate the lot of em, start over on Monday."
Add in: burn every municipal, county, state and federal code and regulation book and start over from scratch. This time keeping the adage that less is more.
