Well, that was prompt service.

Last week I wrote:
I don't know who has to choke on their last cookie to get zombie Whitney Houston off my TeeWee screen, but I wish they'd hurry up and do it.
Turns out the answer to my random musing is "Davy Jones". I'd be willing to part with Michael Nesmith, too, if it will keep the television from switching from "Daydream Believer" back to "I Will Always Love You".

Hey, Whitney gave me at least one day of relief from seeing the name Kardashian in the magazine rack in grocery checkout aisle. Only one day, unfortunately.

Michael Nesmith did some really good work with The First National Band...

I like Mike Nesmith's work, would Peter Tork or Micky Dolenz do instead?

And off I go to listen to Rio and Crusin again.

Never bothered to buy TV.. said...

If you don't like BAD TV - turning it off seems to be the only solution. OK, maybe there's a couple of hours in the week - not sure, I haven't had TV (cable or OTA) in years. To easy to predict what they're going to talk about.

Please, not Michael! He really could play guitar and write music.

It is really cool that you can see DJ as 'the artful Dodger' on an episode of the Ed Sullivan show.

I loves me some internets.

Yes, yes, I used to be one of those Superior People who didn't have a television set... well, actually I still am ...but I moved in with a roommate who owns one, so now I can't run around and tell people I don't have one in the house.

I have a TV but I never watch it before 5:00PM. ;-)

Mike Nesmith I'd be sad about as he was the only one with real talent in the group and the only one smart enough to make any real money off the group by insisting having one of his own songs on the B side of virtually every single 45 that they put out.

A friend told me about Davy Jones' death. I thought he was pulling my leg.

Then I saw his face.

Now I'm a bereaver.

(Heard somewhere that the Tork role was offered to Stephen Stills.
Is that a what might-have-been?..)

I think Nesmith invented the MTV music video.

A triple threat: Wrote music, music production, and inherited money. Bright guy.

ooooh, queue a little a Gilbert &Sullivan and imagine me capering about my office warbling:

"I've got a leettle list and none o' them will be missed...."

On that, no-doubt disturbing, note you may return to your regular programming.
