Flotsam and jetsam of the 'net.

Surfing around the internet, one constantly runs across little icons and graphics that make one say "Hey, that's cute!" and Right Click To Save.

Here are a couple that have kicked over my gigglebox recently...

Kermit here just absolutely slays me.

How did they get a webcam into my apartment?

EDIT: Hey, why isn't my animated little typer dude typing?

'Hey, why isn't my animated little typer dude typing?'

Cause you saved it as a jpg and not gif would be my guess

No, it's a gif, at least on my PC.

When I get home from CCA tonight, I guess I'll have to try again. :o

It's a jpg here, though.

Graphic Interchange Format (GIF) allows the picture to cycle through several pictures that are embedded in the file, making up the "animated" gif files.

JPG doesn't. Hmmm. Even the steering commitee doesn't tell you what jpg stands for...

.JPG is common because of the old 8.3 naming convention from DOS that we had to live with. The full acronym is JPEG.

Yes, I'm a geek.

He's not typing because he's a .jpg file. When you upload images on Blogger they seem to auto-convert to .jpg files.

Try uploading him to Photobucket ( and then linking. That should work.

I ran into that problem with a .gif file that had a transparent background. When I uploaded it on Blogger, it converted to a .jpg.

Ah, what I meant to say is that it's a gif on my PC, but that fiendish Blogger server went and saved it as a jpg.

Try Image Shack or such for uploading animated gifs.
