Gun Show! Yay!

I'll be at the Expo Center gun show today, helping out my friends from Elite Tactical Systems. Come say hi. :)

With any luck, I'll find a cheap old milsurp or top-break Smith to keep the jones at bay.

Now, that would be great! I mean, if you could pick up a new-to-you S&W on SA or SU, and blog up a "Sunday Smith" entry for Arms Room for this weekend.

Good hunting.

Have fun with that. You'll probably find an obscure treasure for yourself while you're there.

If I was in town this weekend I'd come out and say hello. But, no, I'm still in deepest, darkest North Carolina. There's poker and rocketry here this evening though.

Top-break Smith in .32 just sold at an aution in NV for $60.00. Worse yet what sure looked to be a Smith Jet went down for $260. On the other hand somebody paid $1,100 for a Model 16 in .32.

There's going to be a gun show in the next town over, Smyrna, in a week or so. I was told that it's going to be put on by the same outfit that does the Knoxville show.

I'm planning to check it out because the next Bob Pope show in Franklin isn't til December.

Don't think I can wait that long.

Yes, it's still under construction.

My linky-love may have been a bit ahead of schedule. The phone # is good, though.

Perhaps one of your Gentle Readers can help...I live in San Antonio, but the gunshow here is mostly dealers, selling the same stuff at the same prices every month. We had better shows when I lived in Tulsa. Any better shows within driving distance?

Annoyingly the gun show here this weekend fell between pay periods, and after the rent half of the month at that. There was a guy with a plastic bin full of of Glock & SIG police trade-ins in the $350 range. Lot of holster wear, but mechanically just fine.
