I never thought I'd do this, but I've just made shelf space at the shop to keep 7.62x39mm reloading dies and .311" bullets as a regular stocking item. Haven't seen a drought like this since the Winter of '99.
Yikes.

I keep hearing that stuff is not as readily available as it once wes, but I've had no trouble finding it in quantity. Get mine through the Sportsmans Guide web site. 17c or 18c a round for a 640 round tin. Wolf, HP and/or FMJ.
You know anything about laser boresighters? Any good? I see a wide range of prices on them.
...was. Once was. Jeeze.
Slightly off topic, Tam, but CCA has not responded to my e-mails.
Do you carry the Aguila 12 gauge mini-shells?
CheaperThanDirt has 640 rounds for $115.
If there is an impending drought (say in 6 months or so down the line) I am in a bad position.
I have about 2K sealed of Wolf that I don't want to break into, I am running low on plinking boxes, and I am not set financially at this point to go on a AKM grocery spree.
Dang.
Just got word Winchesters going up 10% first of the year, Remington is going up 8 in Oct. The rest are following suit. This includes components.
Wolf's already raised prices and the brass case .223 really took a jump. It will continue to be hard to come by, althought they seem to have a lot of the Gold line stuff now. But don't expect to be able to get 7.63X39MM or .223 very easy any time soon. Can i suggest .30 Carbine? You can thank South America and the Middle East. And Winchester Q loads, .223, .22LR & Mag and lots of the cowboy and milsurp type stuff is nonexistant for the rest of the year. A general shortage of bullets, as well.
Well that's enough good news for now.

Easy fix.
Give the folks at Dillon Precision a call.
Myself, I've been handloading 7.62x39 for about 12 years on the Blue progressive machines, feeding a couple SKS and a couple AK rifles nothing but good stuff - none of that steel-cased crap. Don't forget that copper and lead are still increasing in price, however, regardless whether it's ammo or components.
