I regret not grabbing up more fixed-sight Smiths when I had the chance. I've never spotted anything like that, or the elusive M58, though many M10s passed under the glass while I waited for the right one. Dumb.
ugly is the collector's/dealer's friend...bad finish and crappy grips keep neophytes at bay long enough for experienced, appreciative eyes and hands to prove once again that beauty and value are way deeper than skin...or nickel.
No, but good accounting makes for good friendships.
I could probably settle up tomorrow by coming up off my LNIB '76-vintage Model 37, but I'm going to crawfish for another week to see if I can't find another solution; I've got trade goods and savvy, so we'll see what I can come up with. :)
