(H/T to Nathan Brindle.)
UPDATE: Awesome! According to the scandalous DHS report, this makes the Indiana Senate (to say nothing of those bomb-throwers who wrote the Constitution) "rightwing extremists" and potential domestic terrorists!
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely.
(Emphasis mine.)

Good to hear. Any word on the progress of Resolution 12, the campus-carry one?
I think you can track that here. It's a bill, not a resolution.
(WV: cricith. That'th right, we're in a cricith.)
Yeah, it's extreme to want the government to uphold the Constitution.
Not.
That's just full of win.
Pretty large thread (5 pages as of this am) over at arfcom on this, in GD. . .and of course on cnn's website, there it is: "Right Wing Extremism May be on Rise" Picture to go with it? Of course--- Nazi flag!
Grrrrrrrr. . .
Hmm.
Nazi = "National SOCIALIST"
But just try to get a member of the "reality-based community" to understand that.
"Right Wing Extremism May be on Rise" Picture to go with it? Of course--- Nazi flag!"
Of course, in Left la-la land, an advocate of limited or no government must be the same as a NAZI, advocate of extremest, centralized, militaristic government that dictates what the corporations are going to produce.
Maybe they should look in the mirror.
Nice to see our Right Wing Extremist Politicians moving on this.
The DHS report is just infuriating. And that's probably by intention.
I'm seeing this report as a self fulfilling prophecy. These ShitHeels will keep pushing people till a few start to crack and push back. Then they can proclaim that "We told you about these guys."
It is nice to see their true beliefs published.
Also, does the release of this report, right before all of the Tea Parties seem funny?
All The Messiah need do, if he really wanted to ease tensions, is announce that no, he and his cronies aren't going to move on guns and/or ammo.
But they are strangely silent... which just fuels the fire.
Is that what they want?
Good going! Good to see that Texas isn't alone in this.
It's nice to see that Nepalitano thinks that single issue voters, returning vets, and gun clingers belong in the same group as Illinois Nazis. Nepalitano, 3 flavors of socialism in one.
I remember a shirt for sale with a picture like this:

Are they still around?
Yes, Texas has one of these resolutions in the Legislature as well. Gov. Perry issued a pretty strong statement in support of it just yesterday. Curiously enough though, there's been nary a peep about it from the AP or the state's major newspapers. In fact, I've seen more stories about the Obamas' dog.
Go IN! I wish NV would do the same but there are probably too many jokers here from CA. Almost makes me want to move back, If they had mountains, deserts, and jobs.
I reject everyone's authority and insert my own. I was taught that all I need respect is the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and the Ten Commandments. Everything else is bullshit. That's what I try to live by.
Am I a terrorist?
Hah! Tam, you have the worlds first God and Gun Clinging, Terrorist Tofuista as a commentor.
Hopefully the jack-booted thugs in black won't be knocking down my door at 0300.
:-)
Joe
Remember that about 15 years ago the FBI issued guidance to law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for domestic terrorists.
They could be distinguished from ordinary citizens by things like reading the Federalist Papers and quoting the Founding Fathers.
SOS, DD.
...and let's not forget "Project Megiddo".
I had a dream last night.
The Lightbringer was sitting on a stool on a stage, reading Saul Alinsky's 'Rules for Radicals' aloud to an auditorium full of elementary school children.
Woke up in a cold sweat. Been bothering me all day, just thinking about it.
Regards,
Rabbit.
I see that Washington State's liberal cretins kicked ours directly to the "State Government and Tribal Affairs" committee.
One of the single most socialist legislative committees in the state.
No surprise there. Every single politician in the state was trying to get into a Secretary or under-Secretary position in the Obama Cabinet.
I AM glad that Ron Sims is gone though. Perhaps if he's not rigging the elections here we'll actually have some representation in the rest of our county instead of our ballots getting conveniently "lost" between polling station and the vault.
Nathan, thanks. You're right, Bill, not Resolution. Too much algebra before posting...
As for the DHS, apparently being a single-issue organization/supporter makes you suspect, now. Maybe Notre Dame is trying to avoid getting tarred with the 'right-wing terrorist' brush...
A SENATE RESOLUTION urging the honorable Barack Obama, President of the United States, the President of the Senate, the Majority Leader of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States in Congress assembled, and the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives of each State's legislature of the United States of America to cease and desist, effective immediately, any and all mandates that are beyond the scope of their constitutionally delegated power.
Tam, if they listened to the Indiana General Assembly, they'll all have to close D.C. and go home and file for unemployment.
I'm surprised that when they wrote the words "honorable Barack Obama," that the paper didn't burst into flame. That's mixing matter and anti-matter, people.
My sister has informed me that "states' rights" is code speak for limiting access to contraception, as well as all sorts of bigotry by those who hate the "scary brown people". And Gov. Perry is calling for the secession of Texas from the Union.
Oh, and those of us how disagree with the liberal left, and went to the tea parties yesterday are members of a small deluded minority who are the patsies of "rich special interests" (unnamed of course) and are trying to get our "talibangelical" views foisted on the majority.
And I'm the one taking talking points from someone else and she's the one in better touch with reality?
