It's things like that that beclown IDPA (even though it's an unintended consequence of the way the rules were written.)

Alien said...: Almost makes me wish I hadn't divested myself of my 57s (4 inch and 6 inch, both pinned and the old S&W deep blue) but I considered them a novelty caliber (which doesn't 'splain why I carry a 10...). Plus, because of their condition and age, I was offered real money for them, so I converted them into stuff I shoot more. Still miss 'em, though.

So for the next 2 years, his AR is Vacationing at my Home, while a .357 Lever Gun is backing up his Smith.

This reads like it's a bad thing. CA's Draconian laws aside I don't have to deal with that nonsense and often rotate wheelguns into house duty.

Although as I've gotten older I do tend to load with .38s vs .357s because I admit the latter will be exceedingly unpleasant indoors.

All the stuff in the .38 class (9mm and .380 included) tend to make a higher pitched ka-pow over the boom of a .45 auto or .44 special (and I suspect Tam's .41 tends to the lower pitch).

I never thought I'd become report sensitive but I find I fatigue less shooting an hour of .45 vs an hour of 9mm. I blame old age.; 3:34 PM, September 22, 2013
