Those three carbines are the current houseguns of a career USAF senior NCO, the retail sales manager of a Type 7/SOT FFL, and an ex-Army NCO/lifelong shooter/Class 3 owner. If any one of us had wanted a gas piston upper or an oddball chambering, we could have had it. Why would three people with over a century of riflery experience between them opt for such an inferior system for guns to which they trust their lives?; 12:04 AM, October 14, 2005

I've been working my SOCOM-16 into 3-Gun competition, but I haven't wrung it out at long range yet.
