News: Ever have one of those days...

...where you're just fed up with folks talking on their cell phone instead of driving or walking or paying for their purchases at Wally World? Doesn't it make you mad? Doesn't it just make you want to hop into your armored personnel carrier and trash cell phone towers until the police finally force you out of your vehicle?

I tell you, it's heartwarming little human interest stories like this one that make me want to go shopping for surplus armored fighting vehicles. When you snap, you want to do it with style. "I don't know, officer. This M2 half-track just came out of nowhere and ground every ramp in the skateboard park to kindling under its treads and then drove off. I swear I heard some lady cackling her head off from inside the vehicle, though..."

You can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting some fool talking on their cell phone instead of driving. I am thinking of getting a cell phone jammer and keeping it in my truck. That way, they might hang up and drive when the phone doesn't work.

cell phone jammers are fun. . . especially when you see some teenage girl yacking "then I was like. . then like. . and it was like. . " and PHHHHHFFFF. . hello? Hello?

hee hee

And think.. . get a cell phone for your baby. Cell phones put into stuffed animals. . so even your toddler can annoy other people.. www.Cellbaby.com

You don't need an APC. All you need is a bulldozer, a welder, and a mission.

Re: Lab Rat's Killdozer

Last line in wikipedia:

On April 19, 2005, it was announced that Killdozer was being taken apart for scrap metal.[2] Individual pieces of Killdozer would be dispersed to many separate scrap yards to prevent admirers of Heemeyer from taking souvenirs. [2]

Didn't they throw Joan of Arc's ashes in the river to prevent the same thing?

Oh and Tam, will you explain the skate-park hatin'?

There's one right across the cove from VFTP Command Central. On a quiet summer evening, traffic on the half-pipe over there makes it sound like boxcars being shifted in a freight yard. And they're 800 yards away. I know, because I lased it...

Heh, My old view from the porch used to include a rail crossing. Nothing like a little long-long-short-long at 5 am on a Sunday morning ;-)

The railroad track on the far side of the park doesn't feature the rumbling of trucks nearly as often as the slightly closer skate park...

("Rumbling of trucks"... +100 bonus points for obscure skateboard/choo-choo train humor in one phrase. Yay, me!)

I will go in half with you if I get to use the APC on the odd numbered months.

What's wrong with skateparks? The noise?
That's like complaining about crowding in Manhattan - it's part of life.
