QotD: Mad as hell, and not going to take it anymore...

Joe Huffman on why gun owners have a right to be angry:
Constantly lying about the law, firearms, and gun owners has a tendency to make gun owners angry. If they don't want us to be angry they should stop lying.
Word.

Of course I agree, but then, since I'm an uncivilized, ignorant, illiterate, pickup-driving, bible-thumpin', backwoods-dwelling Republican bumpkin who engages in unlicensed loophole transactions of unregistered assault weapons at gun shows with my fellow neo-Nazis, you'd expect me to.

You forgot "cousin f***ing"

It's telling that anti-gunners are so vocal in their smears. If we were really as scary as all that, would they be talking like that in public?

Thanks for the link Tamara.

Speaking of cousins...

It turns out I did marry my cousin.

Barb has been doing a bunch of genealogy and found that back about 4 greats one of her relatives married one of mine in what is now West Virginia.

Decendents from both family trees independently moved to Idaho in the late 1800s and eventually Barb and I met in high school.

I always suspected you were a Republican deep down Tam. I wondered when you'd finally admit it.

Get ready to become angrier- he Pentagon and Las Vegas shooting guns have both been traced to the same source- Memphis.

Specifically, seized guns traded by the MPD for other guns, then into the stream of commerce.

Both appear to have been illegally bought, in several separate ways. But the headline will NOT be,

"Pentagon and Las Vegas Shooters Both Prohibited From Getting Guns"

This is my favorite game to play with slanderers. I set one straight the other day, the conversation went something like this.

SL: "All these damn gun owning, redneck, Texans, they're all so stupid."
Me: "Wow, I didn't realize you thought I was stupid. I mean, you know being a gun owning and toting, redneck, inbred, Texan. I guess all that edumication I spent all that money on and all that time I spent getting into this top-rated graduate program, was wasted. They must just let anybody in..."
SL: "Err...sorry, maybe I was generalizing a bit."

The slanderer in question was a senior PhD student in my program, it did shut her up pretty easily.

My favorite was being called a redneck "Stumpfu**er." I inquired as to whether the accuser was experienced or merely making things up?

That all looks pretty literate to me...I embrace those other adjectives pretty proudly, but that's the one that scares the anti's the most.

Joe Huffman is a generous man. There's the lying and also the wastefulness. And after that, there's lying about the waste. Since this past weekend, major news outlets are running the genealogy of the weapons used by the failed mass murderer stopped by Pentagon police.

Long story short: there was nothing remarkable about the weapons.

In other words, a bunch of public employees expended expensive labor tracing the history of weapons for a would-be murderer who was already stopped by armed defenders. The dude's dead--mitigation works better than prevention, because working crystal balls are hard to come by these days.

I always wonder what would happen to the slandering if we brought back duels. People tend not to say such things about people when they have to back it up with pistols at dawn.

Being able to write a perfectly crafted forty-two word sentence with snarkitude is an astonishingly rare and lovely gift.

Knowing where I can find one eight days a week makes me smile knowing we will not merely endure: we will prevail because you lift our hearts by reminding us of the courage and honor and hope and pride and compassion and pity and sacrifice which have been the glory of our past.

To all slanderers and the criminals they empower by taking the guns away from the law abiding citizens (rednecked, bible thumping, pickup driving, cousin "ahem", etc)
Read this!

What silly confusatives.

All for keeping guns and at the same time defending the crud who's conspiring to create scenarios through which they will take our guns away, the "jews."

Read the articles written by some of Christianity's greatest advocates at DEANBERRYMINISTRIES.US or keep your mouths shut.

You all talk a good line but if you had any intention of defending America's liberty you wouldn't have been steadily surrendering it the last thirty years.

A Real Man who knows anything about how Hitler came to power can readily see that 9/11 was nothing more than America's version of the burning of the Reichstag (Uh ...duh ...uh, the wat?). Followed immediately by America's version of the Enabling Acts.

Stupid, stupid people. As always. Neither communism nor nazism would ever triumph if it weren't for your kind. You buy into what jewsnews tells you about the "terrorists" and you repeat their slogan "freedom isn't free." You're too stupid and shallow to see that the price of freedom will be freedom itself.

You wonderful citizens will be some of the first to turn in your guns to the soldiers at your door because you consider yourselves law-abiding and because you'll be labeled a terrorist and immediately whisked away if you don't.

But if you don't give them your guns you'll find yourself in a trap of your own making. Because you supported the war on terrorism and were foolish enough to give up your freedom for a little temporary security, you won't be entitled to a trial, and it will be illegal for your relatives to even ask where you were taken.

Read the nonpatriot acts.

Just keep sounding cocky. Because I know you won't be when push comes to shove. The world has already seen it happen many times. It's only a very, very small minority that actually fights. And they're usually labeled something like ...

Terrorists.

And people like you get that smug look on your faces and say stupid shit like, "Well if they're terrorists they don't deserve a trial."

Tyranny has never happened without the consent of the idiot.

Would but that he came from my favorite little fishing town in Ireland, a place called Dingle, in County Kerry.

Then of course (come on, you saw it coming) he would be a Dingleberry.

And truthmonger old man, if only a few "fight", they're not freedom fighters they're nutjobs, and the world is better off without them.

Except for stable and responsible gun owners, who get painted with the same brush as the lunatic element.

And if all the Jews are so anti-gun, how come in Israel they all have to own them? And practice continually? With fully automatic weapons to boot?

Matter of fact, if the weather wasn't so hot...

You, my boy, are living proof that one man's inspiration is another man's hallucination.

When religion stops being about what you should do, and starts being about what some other person should or shouldn't do, it segues into a whole 'nother kind of dance.

And Og, I had a couple of really hot looking cousins way back when. It's legal for sporting if they're second cousins.

I once kidded a friend of mine, named Opie, swear to God, from Arkansas about that. I asked if it was true that, in Arkansas you could divorce her as your wife but still keep her as your sister.

He said no, that was Alabama. In Arkansas you had to marry a first cousin on your father's side of the family, because Motor Vehicle wasn't going to change the name on the Driver's License.

Truthmonger,

If I thought you had a shred of honor, I'd ask you to name your second so that mine could meet with him and make the necessary arrangements. You, sir, have done the near impossible by making Fred Phelps seem the better man. As reprehensible as he may be, at least he has the courage of his convictions. You merely have a conviction for battery.
