Just not feelin' it today.

I got the front yard mowed, the trash cans emptied, and a few other little odds 'n' sods accomplished. I still need to go to the grocery store and run some laundry. But that sounds suspiciously like work.

Oh, and the writing thing. I am seriously behind on the writing thing. Even my blog posts here are suffering, and I just can't be arsed to do anything about it. I need to turn out that Tok v. CZ bit. I need to finish a Colt 1903 post that has languished, half-completed, on my hard drive for months.

I have been just phoning it in here at VFTP for the last week or so. Sorry 'bout that, y'all.

If it was December, I'd blame it on the short days. If it was raining, I'd blame it on the rain that was fallin', fallin'.

I don't know what it is, but I have got a serious case of the blahs.

If only you knew of some place, some gun club perhaps, under a brilliant blue sky, set amid mounds of river clay, where you could go and shoot your guns and have material for an article.

I wonder where, oh, where would that be . . . If only you had a witty, charming, and snazzy dresser of a shootin' buddy who would take you to his club.

If only . . .

That feeling of the general "blahs" is usually caused by a serious vitamin B deficiency.

Red meat is high in Vitamin B.

The cure is in the restaurant...

WV: ovens. I prefer broilers but that'll do...

Old Squid.

You know what else is high in Vitamin B? Unpasteurized beer. You need a bottle conditioned beer to go with a good steak. Now if you eat it out in the sun, your skin can make some Vitamin D which is also good for your mood. So you need a restaurant that serves steak and has a good beer selection with an out side area.

Sounds like you need a dose of Delicious Baked Goods. See me on Sunday. I'm bringing cookies.

Actually, I think you need something or 'someone' to really piss you off to get the blood and neurons flowing and moving freely.

Call up a Democrat, like someone on Bayh's staff, and complain about the present Healthcare swindle. That ought to do it.

You'll feel so much better when you calm down.....sometime in the next decade.

You and me both. I've been blaming the heat. Even with the A/C going it makes me want to stay on the horizontal in front of a fan, not in front of my computer.

Can't be B deficiency, given my diet...

Hmmm. I think it's that Dark cloud rolling out of Mordor, DC.

Gets ya down, thinking about that creepy shizz.

Go shoot something. Something that shatters, or bounces, or has an Auntie Smilin' Face pasted to it.

'graling, always, before the darkness. However, repeated muzzle flashes have a prophylactic effect on such phenomena.
