National Health Care Plan...
Obama's plan will guarantee that the nation's elderly are shovel-ready.

It is indeed cradle to grave government care the Democrats are offering. They will allow you to be killed before you get to the cradle, and if that does not work, they will hasten you into your grave.
That's the point. You certainly can't CALL it euthanasia, but sending them home to die while waiting for treatment cuts the costs considerably.
It's a marvelous shell game: ) gets credit for "fixing" the problem, but nothing will substantially change. People will avoid his new clinics and go to the ERs, relying on EMTALA. Scummy ambulance chasers like John Edwards will continue to sue....
What really terrifies me is how Obama has said the VA's care will be revamped and become a leader for the rest of the health care he wants to push the whole country onto. I can't get the VA to actually take care of my husband as it is. The morons have no freaking clue how to treat his condition, or what the tests they've done are even supposed to be showing. I'd love to take him to an orthopedic specialist outside of the VA, but with him being unable to work and the VA sitting around and going, "Well that condition isn't all THAT bad... is it?" we just don't have that option right now. And every time I see a little of the fire go out of him because he's discovered one more thing he can't do anymore without extreme pain and joints giving out, I want to force one of them to watch him live like that and then tell me how bad it's "not".
The last thing I need is Obama screwing this up worse. I have fought these people for too long at this point, and we've finally got him assigned to a doctor who seems interested in identifying causes, not just rolling a pill at symptoms. I am not one to sincerely wish suffering on another person. If Obama's changes to things make my husband's suffering worse, though, I could learn to wish it on select people.
Well...the Obamessiah can't regulate alternative medicine, can he? I'm not saying that the herbal remedies are all good, or that Western medicine is bad.
But...some of the stuff does work and, the last time I checked, it's still legal to have a herb garden (not *that* kind) in your kitchen.
At the risk of being endlessly repetitious I say it again,
National Healthcare combines the efficiency of FEMA with the compassion of the IRS.
The worst care possible seems to occur at the VAs. If that's Obama's proposed model, it's even worse than I imagined. Apathetic Civil Service nurses, technicians, dietary workers, and the bottom tier medical school graduates who look contemptuously upon their charges.
Well, it isn't as if his health care reform will apply to the politically connected. Like taxes, Gov't-regulated healthcare will only apply to "those people". You know - the rest of us.

Democrats - fighting the good fight to make Logan's Run a fulfilled prophecy.

It's beautiful.
Youth in Asia? Is Ro back?
It's beginning to look a lot like 1993/4 again...
Except that there's no Newt to run the GOP, just Michael Steele.
{shudder}

Now you've gone and depressed me even further....
I do a weekly infusion at home; done so for about 5 years now. My insurance company picks up most of the cost, which runs about 100k per year.
The last thing I want is a bureaucrat reviewing 'medical necessity' on something that prolongs my life and quality of life, at my age.
Utilization review by the .gov decreased payment amounts to the oncology practice I worked in, which eventually caused the practice to close.
Regards,
Rabbit.

Missing an 'i', there, son.

Heh. ::wince::
And it looks like they're going to close the "pay cash" loophole, too.

Heh. Good snark, Tam.
Us youth-challenged Americans will cease to see any point in living when The Kids are done with our country.

Lovely, just freaking lovely.

I see it as the DMV combined with open wounds.
