Party politics today is a race to the boxcars; first team there gets to make the other team ride.

Lots od people will spend that on a Corvette they'll never drive, why not? It is a beautiful work.

Wow. It gladdens my heart to know that things like this exist. The first O/U double rifle that I ever saw was in a Beretta catalogue. I know that practicality is not why people purchase doubles, but I've always thought that the O/U double rifle would be more practical in terms of regulation and trajectory matching of the barrels.
The vette will be worth a lot less, too, as time goes on. A Holland and Holland double that cost several hundred dollars in 1948, is now worth as much as a modest suburban home. And fine guns span many generations.
I still want a 4 bore double ( SxS ).
Gotta save my pennies. If I could buy a freaking Lahti before age 30, I can buy one of those before I'm too senile to pull the trigger.
What Kristopher said.
That Heym set is quite nice, and I'd take it in a heartbeat, even though I don't care much for engraving of that sort.
