In other news...

...the editorial staff of the Bloomington Herald Times is still a pack of moral cripples with all the ethics of syphilitic weasels.

I'd suggest a boycott but, given the state of the dead-tree newspaper business in America today, that would almost be redundant.

Do they still have some advertisers? Perhaps they'd like to hear from y'all.

I resent the hell out of being compared to those bozos.

Think of the dead tree media as a source of daily amusement, with a comics section thrown in as a bonus.

The comics themselves are almost the saddest, albeit silent, commentary on the media. The local rag has not one "funny strip" in the funny papers.

Pretty much the same deal with the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, but I figure I can walk outside their circulation in twenty minutes.

My parents have as their only paper choice, a small town, very liberal, newspaper. The headlines will be all about all the good the stimulus is doing (with an unemployment rate of about 15% in that town I'm not sure if the locals are buying it yet), an Arbor Day parade and the local football game. You literally have to go back about 5 pages to get world news which consists of a couple of sentences about some conflict in Iraq and oh did we tell you about what Obama is doing for us.
