Ah bacon, the only treif item I miss. They don't call it the King of Meat for nothin'!
I wonder what would suffer for the addition of bacon....Honestly, nothing comes to mind.Jim
I'm convinced it's the addition of salt and fat to the otherwise bland and tasteless food being cooked that results in bacon being such a fine addition in cooking.
Red: Beef bacon? Turkey bacon? There's also bacon-free (certified!) bacon-flavored seasoning. Just sayin'.
The only way to make something suck worse than by putting a label on it reading "Certified Bacon Free" is to put a badge on it reading "Chrysler".Jim
Recently I added small bacon cubes to my potato soup.Yep, it was better.
