I'm convinced it's the addition of salt and fat to the otherwise bland and tasteless food being cooked that results in bacon being such a fine addition in cooking.
Red: Beef bacon? Turkey bacon?
There's also bacon-free (certified!) bacon-flavored seasoning. Just sayin'.
The only way to make something suck worse than by putting a label on it reading "Certified Bacon Free" is to put a badge on it reading "Chrysler".
