Whimper.

A line of heavy rain just passed over.

South of town it is 61°F and raining. North of town it is 31°F and the rain has turned to snow. The last time my legs hurt this badly, I was lying in the back of an ambulance with bones hanging out.

Seriously, $&#@ this winter.

Truly sorry to hear this. Hope it passes as quickly as possible.

If I may ask a question: do OTC pain meds (Ibuprofen, etc.) help at all with this kind of pain? Just curious, as I don't personally know anyone who experiences this kind of pain.

To quote from Young Frankenstein:

Oh, wait a second.

It's currently 21F here in Minneapolis, up at my friend's place in Bemidji it's 7F. I think this colder stuff is probably heading your way. Hang in there, spring is in sight.

Ah, that awkward stage between simple pain and injury weather prediction. I remember that.

Spring soon. :)

To second Stagounds, Spring is almost here.

I'm just waiting on the Bradford pear next to my driveway to show enough white blooms to make a nice Welcome Spring picture.

Many I see on my commute are already in full bloom.

I'm less than a day's drive down 65 from you.

Today's high is 20 degrees lower than yesterdays, and tomorrow's will be 20 degrees colder than today's.

It was 75 on Saturday and there was still salt on the roads from the ice and snow we got on monday.

I'm with you. Eff this winter and the al gore it rode in on.

Tam,
Having had a somewhat similar bone crushing dismount from a cycle at speed, I agree with your sentiment. Hope you are feeling better today. I am sore all over, even after drugs.

Anon 7:07 - For my part I always have to take at least 4 OTC Motrin to get any relief at all. Last night it was considerably more than that, and I still hurt at each trauma point, but I was able to get some sleep.

Right at 80 here yesterday; last night 30's, MAYBE 60 today, freezing tonight. March in Oklahoma...

Yeah, I'm sick of winter too.

Hope it clears up soon.

That, right there? That's why I don't live in Denver anymore.

Look at it this way, we are drought proofing Indiana!

At least you remember your ride. Course that could explain me to a degree.

Like Paul said - at least you remember your ride.

I rode in a helo once... all I remember was hearing the pilot ask the EMT if I was locked in... after that, I was giving medical history in the ER. Before that - I got nothing but grabbing brakes.

Aspirin is about the only thing that works for me. Yup, real aspirin. Gets rid of it in the back and knee.

Frankly, I'm simply happy to be alive. (not that you're not...just a comment on my own state)

I hope the weather changes back for you soon to that which is more comfortable.

Does anything OTC help, or do you need prescription grade pain pills?

OTC Tylonol arthritis formula is the only thing that helps me, but doesn't give 100% relief.

As someone who crawls into holes in the ground, EMBRACE THE SUCK is sometimes a mantra. Today It turned into Honey, I am not Embracing the Suck. I live just west of the Indiana State Fairgounds.
