Smoke 'em if you got'em.

Another kind of transition team appears to be at work, one that is helping terrorists transition from "Wiretapped and Alive" to "Smoking Hole and Dead" even if they're maybe not so much actually inside Iraq or Afghanistan.

It's almost as though they feel they're playing against a shot clock now, and someone has said "Okay, enough wiretapping; we've got the data we're going to get. Let's get these guys off the board before the hippies take over."

Best post title I've seen in a LONG time, BRAVO!!

As for going into other countries, perhaps they're anticipating a "The One" presidency and want to impress the new boss? He's on record as saying that we should be going into Pakistan (getting him to admit he said that is another story).

Reminds me of the closing minutes of the First Iraq Ass-kickin'..... we had a Battery: 15 round mission, w/ special instructions that offensive operatons were to cease at 0800 local(considerably less than 10 minutes)come down..... the sustained rate of fire for our 8" guns was exeeded just a bit.....

verword: pinesse ???

Wasn't there a push a few years back to make sure the nascent gov'ts of Iraq (and Afghanistan?) had piles of equipment and ammunition so they wouldn't be South-Vietnamed should our election go the other way?

Is that happening again, or is most of it still there from last time?

I just love the "news". First (yesterday?) we had the Syrians running off at the mouth. I think maybe they were blaming Israel. Then we have an anonymous leak from the U.S. claiming we did it, then more blather from (probably) the same batch of Syrian thugs, and lastly an offical "no comment" from the U.S.

One of my (least) favorite things about news media is the old "critics charge" business. Never mind whether the "critic" has any standing, or whether there is any merit to their charges, they are running their mouth so it must be reported.
