Everything old is new again...

If you're a real 1911 geek you should appreciate the following factoids:

1) The Colt 1902 has a bushingless coned barrel.
2) The Colt 1902 has a ramped barrel.
2) The Colt 1900 has double, nested recoil spring a la the Detonics or Delta Elite.

Everything old is new again. :)

History doesn't repeat, but sometimes it rhymes, said Mark Twain.

You just had to bring Anne Reinking and Peter Allen up, didn't you?

All confirming my opinion that nothing really fascinating has changed in firearms in about a 100 years. They keep re-packaging the same tricks trying for some minor advantage, or fill some niche. 50 years ago they figured out personal "automatic" guns, but that was a minor evolutionary chnage. ( effective, but minor)

But basically the technology is dead stable and the only chnages have been "non firearm" related. Better sights, minor better undertanding of ergonomics, slightly better alloys/materials.

Waiting fer my ray gun , dammit all

So ... when are you going to drill it and put on a rail?

Maybe after you have it gold plated and get pearl grips?
