Yesterday's range trip had two goals: Put another fifty rounds through the LCP 2, and evaluate the effect of a fresh recoil spring assembly on the Glock 39's plague of light, off-center primer strikes.
The Glock fired fifty rounds of Speer 185gr FMJ without incident. I am cautiously optimistic. I want to be optimistic, because as you can see, that little gun shoots like a house afire.
The LCP fired fifty rounds of Federal 95gr FMJ and experienced one failure to return fully into battery on round number thirty-four of the day (#245 of the test). This makes 261 rounds fired since the gun was last cleaned or lubricated with three failures to return to battery (#128, #158, #245). 1,739 rounds to go.
