Okay, I won't.
Actually, short of the whole "Keep the heathen Chinee fleet away from the coasts", I'd really rather my country not do anything for me.
But since it insists on trying to do all kinds of stuff for me anyway in its inept but well-meaning way, I'll settle for asking my country not to do anything to me. Can we compromise on that?
K Thx.

The only reason any heathen Chinese fleet would be off our coast is to unload another batch of poison toys. Since the gov't hasn't done anything about preventing that, which it shouldn't, what do we need it for again?
Hear, hear! Hillary keeps complaining that too many Americans were invisible to the gov't. I just wish the gov't couldn't 'see' more Americans.
This sounds like a Ron Paul stump speech!
Aye. Unless the Pawnee come back for their souls or there's a terrorist plot to stuff cats in mailboxes (oh god, did I just make Chertoff's gut have a "feeling"?), I'd like to be left the hell alone, thank you. Hell, even if the dead walk or mittens recycles Kozy Kitten fish dinner on my valpak coupons, I'd still like to be left the hell alone...and take your hand off my wallet, please.
Been reading my comments around the Innerpipes again, huh?

Rabbit.
They've lost the ability to tell the difference between what they can do and what they should do.
While I can vouch for the fact that the Navy will do it's best to keep any chinese warships away from our coasts, there isn't much they can do about the ones that buy thier way into the White House.
On the flip side the only thing I really want the government to do is fill in the potholes, keep the electricity coming and keep it's nose out of my Life.
Based on the pot hole filling performance in this area I think it's high time that was privitized. As for electricity, I've never lived in an area where it was provided by gov't, unless you count one city power company that didn't really do anything but distribute and bill power produced by a corporation or co-op.
Ia there anything that the Gooberment does now that could not be done better, faster, cheaper by private industry?
Ya almost had it GunMonkey. My reading of the Constitution says the gubmint is limited to building the highways, defending against invasion and insurrection, and getting the mail from one place to another. Most days it seems like they can barely do two out of three with any proficiency.
I dunno, insurrection is looking better every time I look at the deductions from my paycheck, especially around the spring of the year.

Rabbit.
