Riddles for the day all answered.

1) Yes, my Frommer will feed a Winchester Silvertip from the magazine.

2) Yes, my Frommer will ignite the primer on a Winchester Silvertip.

3) Yes, there is an amazing amount of monkey motion you can feel in your hand when a long-recoil pocket pistol is fired.

4) No, a long-recoil pistol will not work without an extractor, unlike most blowback or short-recoil pistols.

So now we know.

I'd put a Frommer Stop extractor on my Amazon Wishlist but A) I don't have a wishlist, B) Amazon doesn't carry Frommer Stop extractors.

PS: Now I want a Gabbet-Fairfax Mars. And people in hell want ice cream.

Until I read this stuff, I'd have thought that a "Frommer Stop" was where one got onto a bus at Frommer Street.

And to think they went through all that work to lock the breach on a .32ACP!

Gun Parts also "lists" the extractor for my CZ27; "listing" is not the same as "shipping." Alas.

Had occasion to fire a Mateba .357 several years ago, the closest thing to a Mars I'll ever hold. It had *a lot* of monkey motion. Fun, though not $1000 worth of fun.

Bang... Whheeeez KerCHUNK click

Felt like the thing rebuilt itself with every shot!

carteach0, that's almost perfect. I've handled some Browning Hi-Powers that did about the same, with maybe a couple more "ta-pocketa-pocketas" thrown in. It can't possibly take as long to cycle as all that action in your palm makes it feel like...

Actually, I've already got one. Well, except the serial no. on mine has 4 digits.

Somehow, I'm having trouble visualizing you as Lucille Kropotkin.

Tam,

Do you have a pic of the part? Many Many years ago when I worked for my ex Father in Law's Gunshop, he and I had to make parts quite often as we specialized in BP, and antique firearms. If you have a good 2 or 3 view pic it might be possible to have the part made rather inexpensively, depending on 'smith prices in your area.

Obviously not. None of her vehicles are done up in yellow paisley.
My wish list includes a broomhandle Mauser in .45 ACP, along with more reasonable things like a .41 mag Redhawk.

I have an entire Frommer STOP (minus the grips). It is suitable for parts only. dlajavic at adelphia dot net.
