I grew up in Marietta, Georgia.
August the Seventeenth is not one of its prouder moments.
Remember that, when someone goes on about the Good Ol' Days.

OMG, really Tam? I grew up in Marietta too! I lived at the end of Hurt Rd. literally 25 yards from Powder Springs.
I moved out to Lawrenceville when I was 14 where I lived until I went into the Marines. Moved back to Lilburn then down here to Florida where I've been for...well, too long now.
I miss it, except every here and there I go back to visit my mother and realize that the Marietta I grew up in, where I could walk to the dead end of our street and go hiking in the woods, is no longer there. It's all housing projects and strip malls.

You should read the history on some of Georgia's gun laws.
On a side note I still live right outside of Marietta.
