As the sun rises over the Blackwater compound...

...there are whole battalions of ninjas doing their morning kung fu exercises, like in the SPECTRE hideout in a James Bond flick.

Well, not really, but I'll bet some hippie read that and said "I knew it!"

Actually it's like the cross between a military base and a... well, a school. Except that the classrooms are, on the whole, a lot cooler. And I'm supposed to be at one of those classrooms in an hour and a half to make some noise. I'm going to have to sign off and get to the chow hall. (How cool is that? I'm going to eat breakfast in a chow hall!)

Anyhow, more later...

Yeah, but the downside of eating in a chow hall is eating chow.

Aw, Tam'll eat most anything if the spider and ant content is low enough -- and ask for seconds if there's hot sauce!

;)

...Just about tactikewl heaven, isn't it?

The Coffee will be good, pass on the SOS, and do oatmeal, french toast and bacon. Never mind, she is already making noise in the classroom, PDST, durn...

Earl,

Let's just hope the "noise in the classroom" isn't related to the chow in the chow hall. :-D

Neat!

Ain't school fun? It's amazing how much more one can get out of it once experienced enough to actually appreciate the opportunity and to take it seriously.

*Heh* School. Wasted on kids. :p

Actually, the chow here beats the hell out of anything I get in a middle school cafeteria. Breakfast was scrambled eggs (good ones, with lots of pepper) sausage, biscuits and gravy.

Dinner was either beef stroganoff, chicken breasts stuffed with all kinds of leafy stuff plus raisins and cranberries and stuff, and a really good spicy/lemony chicken and vegetable stew.

Of course, they gave us generic McRibs and tater tots for lunch. But they were delicious, and we were ravenous, so it worked out.

Tam: I looked at the pictures. How long is it going to take you to get that grin off your face?

Have fun.

Are you sure you were just kidding about the ninjas? I swear there are some Sten gun wielding ninjas there somewhere. You just haven't seen them yet.

Seriously, though, hope you're having a great time.

James Bond? Ninjas? Dig around in the backstop and see if you can find some spent gyrojets.
